This book set includes everything you need to teach the entire Blue Level to eight students.
One Basic Blue Teacher Core Manual: Contains directives for teaching the reading of numerous word groups that cover dozens of different vowel patterns. It also teaches many other language skills such as answering questions in complete sentences, identifying parts of speech, capitalization and punctuation. Special sections help teachers who did not use the first level of the program follow through with students who did. The manual contains 52 lessons. Each lesson begins with a brief summary, a list of the materials needed to teach the lesson and hints on timing. All lessons end with cross-references to the reading book and workbook pages needed for reinforcement as well as an Additional Suggestions section if you feel extra work is needed. There is also an optional Commentary section that can add valuable perspective. The manual has several appendices which provide additional teaching resources.
One set of Blue Level Teaching Cards: These 50+ cards have special mnemonic picture clues on one side and teaching directives on the other. Pictures include letter clues, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, layer cakes, snaky e, and more
Eight sets of Student Workbooks (24 total): These books contain a variety of written reinforcement activities coordinated to the Lessons of the Core Teacher Manual. There are 4-6 workbook pages for each of the 52 lessons!
Eight sets of Student Reading Books (24 total): These books contain sentences, stories and word lists for both instructional and practice reading coordinated to all Lessons in the Basic Blue Core Teacher's Manual.
